I had lunch here recently. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated in a European style. The food was outstanding. I had the spinach salad which was filled with berries and other fruit, topped with candied walnuts and feta cheese. The dressing was delicious with just a hint of spicy heat. It was the best spinach salad that I’ve ever had. The chicken salad sandwich was equally delicious. Highly recommended!

3rd visit, loved it! The food was delicious, a feast for the eyes & stomach, nice portion sizes and served hot! Pet peeve to get food barely warm. Service was excellent, ambience great. Love the garden!

Lovely restaurant with great service. Lobster rolls are delicious as well as the smoked salmon bruschetta. After dining, check out the 2 floors of antiques, eclectic art and specialty items. On your way out, stroll through the beautiful well kept gardens. A true hidden gem in Independence, MO!

We come here every year for our anniversary. It is always so special and never disappoints. The menu is always creative and delicious. But the atmosphere is so romantic and perfect. Courtyard dining at it's finest. A little surprise what is hidden behind a simple brick building.

I have eaten lunch here many times and it never fails to impress me. The beautiful surroundings, the lovely, attentive service, and of course the food never disappoint. It’s especially nice to take first time visitors who literally cannot believe how wonderful this venue is. The menu is varied and interesting. On my latest trip the mushroom cheesecake appetizer was the biggest surprise and the biggest hit. After eating, try to leave time to browse the beautiful store and its offerings. If weather permits, plan to eat outside in their spectacular gardens. A hidden gem for sure!

We got first rate service, the food cooked as ordered and very good. The Decor was very nice and relaxing. Vivilore's is clean and it was a joy dine there today.They have an Antiques shop and gift store attached that I did not visit. I figured out you can order and browse their wares and be back in time to eat. It was a pleasant experience.

Delicious, as per usual. Steak was cooked to perfection and it might be the best catfish I have ever tasted. Decent service. Cocktail was okay. Just not my cup of tea. More of an issue with my ordering than the composition of this drink.

A wonderful experience and fabulous place for a special meal! The food and service was fantastic! We had the crab cake appetizer and the sauce is a must. Crab cakes were light and delicious. Also we all had either lobster bisque or clam chowder and they were enjoyed by all. There were 6 of us and we each had a different entree , all were outstanding. You must save room dessert ! Oh my!!!!We shared the carrot cake and the bread pudding . Both are served with homemade ice cream. It doesn’t get better than that! Except for coming back and trying a different dish and saving room for the flourless chocolate lava cake and the limencello cream cake to be enjoyed on the ambiance of the patio!
